Hello folks and good evening. Ive had an interesting day at work and almost got a written warning cause some guy went to HR about me saying that i had disrespected his religion. I had to spent the last 2 hours sat in a office with the MD and my manager explaining to them why i had told this guy to 'shut up talking about his imaginary friend in the sky' to other members of staff. My senior supervisor is super cool with me and gave me a 30 minute heads up and told me to either deny everything are just sit there looking at the floor. As soon as i walked into the office, i said i was not saying anything until this guy was present in the office with us. Im not playing the he said/she said game, get everyone together and get it sorted. They phoned down to the factory floor and he declined to come up (pussy).
The guy in question:
This guy is in mid twenties. He used to be a dealer, got into a trouble with the UVF, got a few bad kicking's and then became a reborn Christian in jail. So he is a totally over the top Christian, everything that comes out his mouth is about god are related. I have had days were im looking over his department and we have had some convo's that last on and off 3-4 hours and i was surprised he reported me cause he knows my feelings toward gods. He talks about having dreams were the devil has sent demons to tempt him back to his old life and silly stuff like this. He must spent at least an hour everyday talking to other people when he should be working. I get pissed off and snap at him alot but he's a useless cunt so what i care. He's a classic reborn hyper Christian.
Back to the office, to keep a long story short....I bullshitted my way out and it's all rosey but i need to do 'staff communication' course which is 4 hours in the training room watching videos and answering questions on a computer that is internet enabled :), not much of a slap on wrists. I didn't even have to say sorry to him are anything. My MD only ever sees me at meeting so he has only seen my well behaved self but my manager has seen me on the factory floor and knows me better. He also knows that my department is one of best scoring for audits, has the lowest staff turnover and has the least complaints so he is sorta forced to give me a little rope sometimes. They told me to be more careful how to speak to people and to make sure i attended that course when it's happening in 5/6 weeks. All good

First off, i dont care what you believe in. It's all the some to me and if it makes/helps you be a better person than it's a good thing. The thing i have problem with is that it's obviously not really real but billions of people believe in some form of a God. There are around 270 registered 'tax free' religion's in the world, you are always born into the correct religion, you are always punished for not loving your god, your god always needs money and they all have a set of rules to fellow in a book. For flip sake, there are over 50 types of Christianity. Its says in the bible there is one 1 form of Christianity so you could be a Christian and still go to hell cause you on the wrong branch. It's pure madness and lotto for your after life. I could go all for hours writing about this but i dont wonna get started cause i would be sure to offend a few people.
I believe that when you die, you just stop. I am very afraid of dying but i am not in one bit afraid of being dead. It's gonna just be like it was before you were born....right? Why not? What would heaven be like? No rock&roll, no drugs, no epic parties, no sinning at all. All eternity stuck with your wife, kids, parents, antes, grandparents and family members that were already dead when i was born. Sounds like a blast, maybe my version of hell is your version of heaven. But forever, for eternity? Im 34 last week and checking out at 80 would be ideal for me. What would you do forever?
Can i get in by default? What if i im wrong and i go to hell but someone i know goes to heaven and im in their version of heaven. Would i have made it to heaven by default? I know that is a random thought but if i try to think how a religious person justifies stuff like that to themselves with faith. Why are we born with sin? why did God not build us to know he's real like an extra sense? why has the devil not released a book yet? what happened to all the 1000's of dead religion's? why does God need so much money? Why did God think the best way to show us he loved us was by brutally killing his own son? why is the world billions of years older than it should be? Why can you kill a bunch of people and then become reborn to get your pass? who built the all the pyramid's when Noah's ark happened 40 years previously? Why has the bible been rewritten and edited hundreds of times if the true word of god? Why are people afraid to die if they think they are going to heaven? Why wear a seat belt, take medicine? Why not keep a lucky grenade in your pocket? I have questions for hours. I really tired to believe in some religion, i mean i really tired but i cant. It's completely ridiculous when you look at it, when you see the things people do in the name of religion, things that are just common sense evil.
I feel sorry for people that are religious, i know alot of people say they believe in a God, but the dont really, they just like to part of a group. Its like supporting a sports team but never watching their games are buying any of their products. Your a supporter but how do you support the team? I feel sorry for the people that make this lifetime commitment and believe that this life means pretty much nothing and is just a test. I feel sorry because they are very limited to things they can do with their lives. Im talking about people that fellow their bible to the letter cause remember if your dont, your prob gonna hell. I dont believe in any God but i dont go out killing are raping people, i dont steal, i dont cheat, i dont fuck people over and i sleep like a baby every night. I would say i fellow all the commandments except for ones concerning god. For me, everyday could be my last so everyday is a gift cause i know there's no life after you die.
Sorry for going on abit, i really did try to become religious but it's not for me. I have to many thoughts
And FYI, i could openly, publicly hate my mum and destroy her life but she would still she love me everyday.

Yeah, me and my senior supervisor started the same day and were pretty tight. This is not the first time i've had problems from HR and people reporting me and i always request the other person/people to be present to defend themselves. Been watching alot of George Carlin the past few weeks and i like both older and newer stuff, i think it's all fantastic.

I have read a good chuck of the bible, protestant version but i have also researched alot of other religions as well so i would agree you know much about your religion and that my thoughts might be out of line . It's hard for me to understand is all, i think i ask to many questions to be a religious person.

You won’t know the answers till it’s too late. I break my ass eeey day to provide for my family. I do the best I can and that’s all I can do. As far as religion, my parents are very religious and are elders at their church. I hadn’t been to a church service other then a wedding or funeral since i was a child. I don’t knock it, but i have a hard time believing that a book written by anyone other then GOD himself is accurate. Just keep stacking and let the rest sort itself out in time.

People manager is not an easy job. I made some misstakes in the past and changed to a specialist job instead. This guy must be told not to preach at work (HR will support that) but tell him in a nice way 1 on 1 with his consent. This is than confirmed in writing. (Ideally ) Greetings Goldrooster
He's not trying to convert people are anything. I think of religion like hobby, i talk to people in work about silver and BTC, they dont care about it but i waffle on anyways. He doing sorta the same thing in my mind. I seen him today and he said hello as i walked past him so i guess we've moved on and forgot about it.
I am Muslim but have my own business that way I can avoid weird situations such as this one. My advice would be to always work with people you don't have problems with OR deal with the bullshit when problems arise.
