Practicing

in #life9 years ago

One of my favorite exercises to improve my skills on painting is to observe the little details.

The first lesson that my hubby teach me it was about the importance to learn how to observe the things before to paint them. In every moment of the day, I can make this simple exercise: look around me and observe!

Today I want to share with you the little details that I observed (and loved) in my backyard. You can coach your eyes to observe the things around you, wherever you are, whenever you want.

I use this simple exercise to paint, but I think it's useful for writers, poets, photographer and other ^_^

Sometimes, I use my pics to stop the moment and the details, so I can use them as an inspiration for future artworks. I take pics of interesting textures that I see on old walls, pieces of wood with strange knots, corners of doors and windows, leaves. Everything that I can observe can be the subject of my pic and (in the future) a part of my paintings ^_^

Ok, the exercise is well done, it's time for a coffee! (Every time is the perfect time for a good coffee, I know ^_^)

See ya soon!

I am very fond of looking at details-- for me, it started very early in life; even as a teenager, I was starting with macro photography.

well done, @denmarkguy ! I started to observe the details only few years ago, when I met my hubby. He has always been a great observer and now his favorite exercise is search four-leaf clovers ^_^

yeah it's a great pleasure to train ones awareness. And to acknowledge the little details in life! Great post @silviabeneforti!

Thanks so much ^_^

Sono d'accordo Silvia! Bello post! (;

Ti ringrazio! Purtroppo uso la mia vecchia compatta per farle, ma per il tipo di uso che faccio di queste foto va benissimo. E' buffa la faccia di chi mi guarda quando fotografo muri scrostati :D

Ahahah...ti credo! Succede anche con me quando faccio le pose strane per scattare le foto, e solo dopo mi rendo conto che a volta sono ridicoli, però necessarie! (;

ti dico la verità, io in realtà sono abbastanza timida e se posso aspetto che non ci sia nessuno intono, altrimenti scatto veloce e scappo :D

Quando è un soggetto fisso ci sta di aspettare, però tante volte, nel mio caso, il soggetto è mobile , e non posso aspettare. Cmq. quando sto facendo foto mi dimentico quasi di tutto! Ahahaha...che scena deve essere quando tu scappi! Magari questa è una buona idea per creare un altro tipo di fotografia, se non c'è già: Pose ridicoli e scappate veloce dei fotografi! (;

Good reminder and good photography to illustrate it. Congrats.

These are very nice. I agree that details can make even the mundane objects look interesting. I like to find a common object that is weathered and do a macro shot on black and just take in the details! Great work, I followed!

Thanks so much, @old-guy-photos ! Followed back ^_^

Good advice. Super like!

great idea and details!
