Smile smile...all the way..... :-) (Part 2)

in #life8 years ago (edited)

Continuing from my previous post where we promised to provide some regular source of energy boosters in the form of some motivational quotes or knowledge/information about one selected theme for the day. If this series could make you feel better and forget your worries for some time at least then our objective is achieved. Also in the mean time if some people get motivated or inspired to achieve their goals then that's more than what I had initially thought of achieving.

Today we'll go over something which everyone has potential to do but sometimes we just forget it or are too lazy to do or may be we just ignore its importance in our life. It is a small curve that can fix a lot of personal issues.I am talking about a simple gesture called as 'Smile'. The smile is a symbol that is rated with the highest positive emotional content.

The importance of smile can be gauged when we ask a simple question like: Why did the Mona Lisa become one of the most famous paintings of all time? That’s a question an incredible amount of people have asked themselves in the past. And one possible answer is this: because of her unique smile

Smiling stimulates an individuals brain’s reward mechanisms in a way that even chocolate, a well-regarded pleasure-inducer, cannot match. Smiling seems to give us the same happiness that exercising induces in terms of how our brain responds.

Here are a few more facts that prove the worth of a smile:

  • Smiling is a stress reliever:
Positive thoughts that make you smile releases some chemicals from brain that fights off stress and sometimes even physical illness.
  • Smiling is contagious:
When you smile at someone, they can’t help themselves but to smile back at you.
  • Smiling serves as a painkiller:
When you smile your body produces some chemicals that also serves as a natural pain reliever. It is 100% organic and is a better painkiller than any synthetic medicine with 0 side effects. So my grandma was right, “Smile, it makes you feel better.”
  • Smiling makes you more attractive:
A research study explains that both men and women are more attracted to images of people who made eye contact and smiled than to those who did not.
  • Smiling lifts your mood:
Your body releases serotonin in your system each time you smile. Serotonin is found in today’s antidepressants. So you could proudly say that you have a natural antidepressant maker available to you 24/7.
  • Smiling lowers blood pressure:
Researches show that smiling lowers your blood pressure. It’s intuitive to want to try to help an anxious/nervous  person relax. Sometimes, all they need is a joke or a hug. Help someone relax today, make them smile. :)
  • Smiling helps you appear confident:
It seems like When you smile people treat you differently. You are viewed as an attractive, reliable, relaxed and more approachable. You would always see that individuals with good people management skills would smile often.

Some famous quotes from great scholars and famous people about smile:
