If the earth was a sphere, a helicopter should be able to hover in place and wait till the destination comes.
If the earth was a sphere, planes would have to adjust so they did not fly into space. An airplane would have to keep dipping its nose all the time, if not it would be at over 80,000 feet in just half an hour, on its way to space.
If the earth was a sphere, wouldn't planes take the shortest path instead of flying across the world to get from one side to the other.
If gravity is strong enough to hold the earths ocean in place, it would be impossible to allow fish to swim or birds and planes to fly.
