lots of things

in #life2 years ago

haven't been writing much, but have been busy, ish...
setting up servers, rack mounting wrong, being depressed, getting over it, working on projects,... speaking of which, blokz has a new hosting provider!!!
Ryamer.com which is the startup of choice for 2022. big things to come from them.

the new host is 64.62.202.4 which will show up for some blokz projects, as well as hextech (until it gets its own server setup, which should be soon).

currently on the @hextech side of things we are saving up for a server to get our full node up and running with a public api, also has https://social.hextech.group/ setup (although still a few versions behind https://personal.community).

on the @blokz side of things, started sorting notes for https://self-hosted.info/ which will be all about hosting your own apps and services locally or remotely on unmananged machines (vps or dedicated, etc), expect some ads and amazon referral links when that one comes online.
also started working on some more ui changes for https://personal.community/ which haven't been pushed to the public site because its a cluster fck of a mess right now... aka: there are some errors to fix while some code is shifted around.
Also have to work on https://tools.blokz.io/ a bit more... or maybe just not use it at all, keeping it all on the front page of https://blokz.io/ who knows... i'll decide eventually.

also setup https://git.blokz.io/ using gogs, not sure what my intentions are with that... might eventually migrate all my projects there and then have github mirror them or however that works... idk, im still exploring what i want to do about git related things and hosting.

speaking of hosting... also debating how much to push to various CDNs and figuring out a footer / info page that includes other hosted versions of the site. currently have a netlify, cloudflare and uhmmm... storj version, that i can remember right now, i really should refer to notes when writing posts.. maybe next time.

the m1 macbook pro has basically become my main machine pretty quickly, still not 100% converted from linux, but come a long way OSX has.
as a result of that, my main machine has reverted back to a windows machine for gaming, and my lenovo yoga 11 thingie is my new roaddog / backpack laptop running manjaro linux.

this post originally started as a ping test for testing if my streaming script was working, i guess i've ranted enough and filled in some holes from my life since i last posted.

have a beautiful day ya'll!
