Just looking around, I'd say it's pretty clear this age is dark. Dark and cold. Selfish, Prideful, Hateful, Arrogant, Immoral, Self Destructive and Confused. Demonic. Evil. This is not the environment where humans thrive. Cooperation not Division makes us strong and propels us forward in real discovery and achievement. Self Respect gives us the drive to be better as a person and a soul. I could go on and on and so could you.
Yes, we use the technology ( "dreamed up" or "given"?) and should probably put some more thought to that. Like I say, I do not wish to be a willing participant in my own enslavement.
