I agree with Jeff. School is awesome for 99% of people if they want to become a modern day slave for the rest of their lives.
However, we do need doctors, scientists, some educators etc etc...... I'll let other people do that for me :)

Without the pathetic AMA, licensing (control system), and other modern day changes though, you would still have doctors. People would apprentice like they did in the old days. STEM degrees currently almost require a college degree, but everything else? Go the the library, go do it, or sit down in front of a computer. It's all there! :)
