You are doing it right! keep powering up your account and as time permits learn about the different things like formatting your post and free images, both of which I'm learning as well :) you can use freeimages.com for images. Here is a list of websites to check out at your leisure to help you see whats going on in steemit, don't try to "understand" em right away just check em out. steemnow.com steemd.com and steem.supply I will try to stop in and leave any relevant information when I see your postings because I enjoy them :) and do not do follow for follow lol just follow peoples content you enjoy etc so you actually want to engage! see you around fellow steemian.

Thank you for the encouragement and for the links! I've been trying to compile a folder of useful websites. I'm kind of operating on the principle that if I keep reading different explanations of these things that eventually things will just kind of click.
