I read a fair few of those as a kid and read some to my daughter when she was little. I heard they tried to update some of them for modern kids. Not sure how well that would work, but I'm sure some of the original language would seem odd to them.

Interesting. I will have a look around for modern versions. I love the old language. However, reading some of the books again I would have to say that even some of the concepts are a little discriminatory etc... (I guess it was written in a different time). I still love them.
