I've little idea of what is current in toys, but I did hear a little girl on the radio today saying she wanted a robot dog for Xmas. Maybe it was this one. Do you remember the Sony one? I think that was pretty expensive, but technology has moved on. Maybe parents can at least find out if a child will commit to looking after a robot before getting a real dog that will be more work.
