According to a discovery in Egypt of a New tomb shows that women were far more powerful in Ancient Egypt than we'd thought.

Egyptian archaeologist discovered a 4,000 years old tomb of non-royal women,This tomb shows that some women in ancient Egypt had high status.The tomb belongs to a women named Hetpet,who might have been a top official in Royal Palace during the Fifth Dynasty.This discovery has been marked as significant because Hetpet was buried alone,not with her husband,This is something that is usually reserved for Princesses and the fact that a non-royal women had her own tomb.

According to Hasan Ramdan The excavation supervisor:

"It was uncommon for a women to be buried alone and not with husband, In ancient Egypt.
Only the princesses of the ruling families had their own graves alone.Building a tomb for women,who was not a part of royal families,was uncommon.This shows the power and status of women in that period of time"
