7 Deadly Sins... Not So Deadly

in #life6 years ago

Why is sin called sin? Why is it not instead called by it's true name, human tendencies . Stop shaming yourselves people... enjoy your life, do no harm, take no shit and for quality of life's sake, LET GO of the story that has stifled all of us mentally for so long. We all see the problems in the story, some just choose to ignore the truth that is bitch slapping them in the face, because it's safe there in christian land.

My only point is, what if that light at the end of the tunnel is actually hell fire, and it's only hellfire because your whole existence has conditioned you for that moment (death). Hear me out.. what if when your energy leaves it goes to a place formed by your thoughts and expectations... No matter how good of a christian you have been in your life you and your subconscious know you have sinned and you carry that shame weather you know it or not. That shame could be the building blocks of your own personal hell.

What if we were never told this story... according to christians not hearing the word of "God" makes you exempt and you get a go to heaven free card. Soo why are you spreading the word exactly? Keep that shit to yourself! So if people who have never heard of jesus are in no danger when they die, then in all reality no is anyone else... I mean come on, it's ok to not know how we got here, or where we are going, but why lessen the experience of life by putting such a stigma on it?...

who doesn't enjoy a good mystery?!

Sort:

Preach on sister, "The word of Sin is Restriction. O man! refuse not thy wife, if she will! O lover, if thou wilt, depart! There is no bond that can unite the divided but love: all else is a curse. Accursed! Accursed be it to the aeons! Hell." And "Be strong, o man! lust, enjoy all things of sense and rapture: fear not that any God shall deny thee for this."

today IS ra-hoor-kuit day. i think sunshinebear is starting to feel the vibe :)

This is on point, my love. Well thought out.

If never getting a chance to hear about jesus gives you a free pass into heaven, you're playing russian roulette with people's souls by mentioning jesus. the most loving and kind thing that can be done for humanity (assuming that christianity is accurate) is for everyone to stop talking about it, throw away their bibles, tear down the churches, and scrap every last image pertaining to that religion. By doing so, younger generations will never hear about jesus and thus have a 100% chance of not going to hell. common sense, really. but of course, that means you and i just outsmarted God Almighty.

Not very hard to completely disprove christianity... it's called science! It's mind boggling how a crazy ass book of stories is believed in and taught more than things that can be proven. When will the brainwashing end?

Might I suggest Thomas Paine to bolster your arguements, Age of Reason

Thank you!

it will end the day that adults stop passing their misery off to their children. Of course... there is also Sitra Ahra to look forward to...

The church and the state have teamed up to mislead and keep the public dumbed down and conditioned to not read the Bible. Instead, the ministers are taught to harass and harangue churchgoers and that behavior gets imitated and passed on to others in condemnation.
Not all Christians are like that, I see them as excessive human behaviors that if uncontrolled, lead to ruin, unhappiness, poor health, or violence. Each is always free to live their lives as they please, only your actions will always affect others. It can be a positive effect or a negative one.

Very well put, and I agree not all are like that, and it is good to believe in something. I'm just not sure to what end.

There is nothing wrong with having strong morals, in fact, this country was made into the world power it was intended to be through our strong moral character and dedication to ideals such as our duties to God, family, country, church, etc. However, beLIEfs are simply that, something that is passed down from parents to offspring, teachers to students, ministers to congregation. Somewhere down the line, and it's difficult to pinpoint exactly where, we stopped thinking for ourselves and began to let our incoming information slip into our minds without being filtered through the Trivium.
We listened and believed everything we were told from perceived "authority" figures because we had been taught that.
Our parents were reinforced in their beLIEfs by the sermons from the pulpit, telling them that they needed to hand over 10% of their earnings to the corporate church, meanwhile the state was robbing them with the other arm of the machine. They received the interpretation of the word from someone else instead of reading and studying it for themselves.

Certain behaviors cause problems for more than just the individual with the behavior.
The 7 deadly sins are a caution to men and women for how to conduct their affairs in society. For the 230 or so years we have been a country, we have concerned ourselves with nothing but ourselves and we have wrecked havoc across the Earth. Every action produces a reaction, both as individual people and as a group such as a "country." This is purely a hypothetical example but a scenario in which anyone can identify.
If a man lusts after another man's wife and acts on it, he is only thinking about himself and getting his pleasure on. Whether or not the woman reciprocates the attraction, the thoughts of manifesting that sexual encounter are already in motion.

The subconscious mind begins to go to work and that man may begin to ignore or neglect his own wife and kids which in turn cause more actions. The spurned wife will surely notice his change in behavior and seeds of doubt are then planted. Her subconscious mind begins to go to work also and she may possibly treat her kids indifferently or even badly.
What happens when the adulterous wife's husband finds out she is sleeping with another man?
Wrath? Ruin? A jealous and envious husband gets overcome with envy, which quickly turns to wrath and he goes on a murderous rampage, killing the two lustful lovers in the act. Now two families are ripped apart...all because of a lack of moral restraint and a husband that neglected to honor his wife and the commitment he made

So I gather you just feel the Apostles were all lying..........................

you do realize that the apostles weren't real, right? jesus isn't "jesus". that's our english adaptation of his name. his name is yaheshua... or yod heh shin vav heh. jesus was a concept of man attaining enlightenment. he was the son of god just as christians are the children of god. it's all allegorical.
the twelve apostles... the twelve tribes of judah... i mean...
they weren't lying anymore than the carebears lied about caring. it's a story.

Ah. So who then is the author(s) of this alleged Christian Mythology of which you portend? Mark Twain?

still waiting for the evidence about the Apostles not being real. .... Plenty of evidence abounds that they certainly were. Who built the churches at Antioch and Keiv? How about Calcutta? Were Luke and Paul (with Luke being his doctor of record) figments of a person's imagination? And our English specified pronunciation of His name originates from the Greek expression, NOT Hebrew. Why? Because that is the language of choice of these Apostles who wrote the New Testament! ....the original transcripst of which are still possessed by the Eastern Orthodox Greek church. Nerd... you are so out of your league with all this, it is taking every bit of patience and love to refrain from total mockery of your sorry ass. Whence does your understanding of Church history come? Do tell.
