RE: Addicted to puppies!

WOW , those are some cute pitbulls ; I must say. See thats the problem ppl tend to put a label on everything. In the animal word/dog world pitbulls have a bad rep, which is slowly changing because people are realizing you can't label a breed. Its the environment that you subject them to as well as the owner. Just by reading your post i can tell you have a caring heart and that your a good person and that'll all reflect on how your pit acts. They are super smart, very loyal, protective.playful(at times they don't realize their size, but hey that applies too all big dogs) if you show your pit love from a puppy , train it the correct way, dont be to aggressive , and train it like you would train a small dog breed. except their really smart.
i think you should adopt one, seems like you really want to my friend. i would if i was in your shoes lol, their really cute i have to say. Its just sad that some places won't allow a pit but might allow another type of dog, which isn't right. If you have someone with the mindset like Michael Vick and those other ppl who turn these beautiful loving protective pits into crazy vicious ones and then it goes on the news ppl have it planted in their mind that all pits are like that, which is not the case. someone like you or me we show it love , play with it, train it well, and most importantly stated early the environment/owner is what makes the pitbulls personality.

please keep us posted if you end up adopting one, go for it ....just make sure your able to keep it where you live. you don't wanna fall in love with it and then your apt. complex starts sending letters that you can't have it. i think your be okay tho. i hope everything works out for you. Also getting it neutered helps as well. They truly are a gorgeous powerful breed.

So how do we keep a powerful breed humble, surrendering, submissive, and peaceful? We never reward excitement. For Example ;We don't favor any one dog over another. Once/IF you have a pack, you can't favor any particular dog. You need to favor the calm-submissive state of mind. That's what keeps a pack healthy.

When you're feeding one or more dogs, always feed first the one that is the most calm and submissive. If that happens to be the pit bull, then feed him first. But if he's too exited, he should eat last. Wait until he's achieved the state of mind that you want. That way, he understand that it's the calm-submissive state that makes him part of the group.

If you have a high energy pit bull and lower energy Rot , then make sure that you challenge the pit bull more than the other dogs. Always keep powerful breeds very, very tired. When you're taking them on a pack walk, the most calm and submissive dog gets the leash first. When you open the door, who goes out first? Obviously, the human and then the most calm and submissive dog. the pitbull should be in a calm-submissive state, which is ideal. Stay calm and assertive.

i hope i was able to help you out a little. Thank You for sharing this wonderful post. I wish you all the best my fellow steemians. Have an amazing day my steemians family , Cheers buds
