RE: Knowing Life, learning little lessons.

in #life • 3 days ago

Our bodies really were a mystery to mankind for a very long time. To think at one time they used mercury to treat syphilis, a all out neurotoxin was once a medicine. Kind of scary. We are still learning year by year about how the body and genetics work, we still have a long way to go. In 100 years they will look back on our time and think we were witch doctors compared to what they will understand and have available!

It's sad we weren't given the ability to understand our bodies, but that wasn't important to survive a few thousand years ago I suppose! Most people were lucky to live until 30!

Great post as always!

Yeah, in 100 years time, it'll be completely better and different, which sometimes makes wish I was born 100 years in the future where medicine would be cheaper, a lot of genetic breakthroughs could have happened and all that.

In the 17000s or maybe 18000s, a lot of people were lucky to reach 30 because of the lack of medicine and proper understanding of health. 100 years into the future people's life will only get significantly better, that's if big pharma aren't as greedy as they currently are.
