Understandable. I personally never got into either of those. I watched a little bit of Deep Space Nine but wasn't as intrigued by it.
DS9 took a few seasons to get going. I hated it at first but went back to it later and really enjoyed it.
I have heard a couple other people say that same thing. I watched Star Trek Enterprise but honestly I felt like the best part of that whole show was the intro which was pretty sweet!
