Hi, Steemians!
A Christening gives parents the opportunity to formally involve other significant adults in their child’s upbringing, for advice, protection, support, and encouragement, and they will give a lot of thought to choosing good people. Godparents are also important, It’s a life-long commitment which will involve special times and treats, but much more as well.
It's my honored to be chosen as one of the Godparents of the nephew of our Great co-leader in @steemph.cebu (@fernwehninja). I was so happy that some of my friends and co - steemians were also godparent (@itinerantph,@ninyea @iamqueenlevita,@sumiremurasaki). It's a great feeling that we gather together for a special event. but this time it's different since this is not just an ordinary party, We are a part of the upbringing of the child and personal development and We had a responsibility to take care of the child if anything happens to the parents.
We gathered together at around 12:30 noon at Sugbahan A.S. Fortuna Mandaue City Cebu. Sugbahan restaurant offers Filipino food and their specialty is more on the grilled barbecue. They offer some buffet packages like a wedding, birthday parties, Conventions, Anniversaries, Seminars and educational tours.
As I arrived at the event place, I was astonished by the ombre fall hues and textures used to decorate place settings, a refreshment area, and pie dessert table. The cuteness of a baby shoes and shades of blue, white and green pair with patterns of polka dots and chevron creating a special soccer-themed baptism party. So many thoughtful details like printable toppers, party flags and labels were added to candy jars, beverage jars, cupcakes and favor boxes to build lasting memories of a lovely celebration.
The place is air conditioned so the guest were comfortable and its good for spending quality time with them.
They have lots of culinary delights to offer and I can say that they offer good quality foods. and It's really good and its distinct flavor keeps your appetite going for a lunch or dinner buffet. Their staffs are very friendly and accommodating.

The party ended around 3 pm so the group decided to go to church since its Sunday, and we went to Basílica Menor del Santo Niño, commonly known as the Santo Niño Basilica, is a minor basilica in Cebu City in the Philippines that was founded in the 1565 and its the oldest church in the Philippines .and we lighted some candles to be thankful for all the blessings we had received these days, good health with our immediate family, for the safety of everyone and lastly to increase the value of SBD lol! ...
And our last stop is to have dinner together, We decided to choose AA barbecue restaurant, since its near to us that time, the group decided to eat some seafood, Sinigang for our soup and grilled barbecue. We continue chatting together about STEEMIT and other stuff. We really had a quality time and our Sunday spent well.
Most of us have friends, or at least one friend, someone we spend time with, someone who knows us better than others do, someone we can count on when the need arises. It’s been said that a friend is a gift that we give ourselves. Friendship is a partnership. Two people come together on equal terms. They give their all. Friendship demands more than love. Friendship expects and endures the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm so happy that I found new friends in STEEMIT. there are my mentors and motivators to continue posting quality content and to keep on steeming. I considered them as my Second family and I'm looking forward to more quality time with them.
