10,000 feet really does put you in a bind, unless the earth has changed so sea level is at 10,000 ft and everything else is higher. Maybe it's happening because the earth is expanding. IDK. Maybe that would spark another idea for you.
I don't put a ton of effort into my posts anymore. I used to, but at this point it's a game to see how much I can power up so I can give out bigger votes to people. I play Steem Monsters to get DEC and then buy votes from SM with the DEC. That's the main way I make progress.
I guess I could have also gone with -10,000 feet elevation, and taken it underground or underwater. Didn't even think about that until you started talking about planet expansion, and hey, I wouldn't even need that to happen. :)
I think as long as STEEM's value is in the hands of the speculators, it's going to take a lot of SP in order for it to mean much for any of our votes to be worth at 100%, let alone if we try to divvy them up and dish them out. That's probably the one thing that truly irks me about this $0.25 USD garbage dump of a value. I keep painstakingly upping my SP and someone comes along and dumps STEEM.
It's sad enough to see what I have in my wallet, but the upvote amount—at one point after HF20, I was able to hand out $0.30-plus 100% upvotes, before the reward pool settled back down. Then, I was around $0.18-20 USD. Now, it's half of all that.
It's like one step forward and two steps back.
Sci-fi be crazy!
Yeah, I get the frustration too. I had a delegation of 2000 SP at one point when I didn't have much SP on my own. At that time I was giving out $0.21 upvotes. It was glorious! Now I am around $0.01 - $0.02.
I don't think HF21 is going to make things better, at least for the authors. It will be interesting to see what happens going forward.
