my wife Maria, she knows =)

Believe me when i say this is a serious subject in Sweden, the tradition of eating kräfta (crayfish) in this country goes back to the 1500´s back then it was only the rich and famous that could eat this delicatessen, but the time went by and it became a national tradition that every Swede enjoys.

the set up

No mather if is one person or ten, this is celebrated hard, this marks the end of summer, you see, we have to know that Sweden is one of those countries where seasons are very defined and the changes are very notable, so August means the end of summer and by September fall begins, that if you don't consider climate change of course, but that is another talk.

notice half of that bottle is gone, we haven't even start eating yet!

That my steemit sisters and brothers is SCHNAPPS! it is a very delicious beverage that is a tradition here in Sweden, and you just can not have kräfta without it, it just goes with it, for the record, of course we finished that baby.

You can find crayfish all year long in the stores, although it is mostly imported from the States or China, but Swedes are very proud people and they just eat them in August and it has to be local, i have come to learn that it is also because of conservationist reasons, they want to preserve the tradition and a healthy population of wild crayfish.
