I think many people are impatient with themselves because they are trying to be like someone else. Why do you compare yourself to others? Who are you in competition with?
You defintely right with this, not only even people but set standards, in a bid to be like those people and the standards set by our community of a successful person will get impatient hereby ruining our path
For instance even here on steemit many minnows have crash their path to being great or even a whale by comparing themselves to others in payouts, thus getting impatient and resulting in spamming or engaging in begging of upvotes.
