AMOLED Screen

in #life6 years ago

The AMOLED screen refers to a screen mainly based on an AMOLED material, and the AMOLED (Active Matrix/Organic Light Emitting Diode) is an active matrix organic light emitting diode panel. Compared with traditional liquid crystal panels, AMOLED has the characteristics of faster response, higher contrast, and wider viewing angle.

Overview:

The introduction of the AMOLED screen (full name: Active Matrix/Organic Light Emitting Diode) has greatly advanced the evolution of the mobile phone display screen in the TFT era.

Advantage:

Compared with traditional TFT material screens, AMOLED screens have the advantages of fast response, self-illumination, excellent display performance and lower power consumption. The small size of the panel faced by the early AMOLED screens and the shortevity of the shorter TFTs are also shortened by the constant innovation of technical support.

Research and Development:

In Year 2010, Samsung introduced a new Super AMOLED display screen. Compared with the traditional AMOLED touch screen, the Super AMOLED display screen has abandoned the previous touch sensing layer + display layer architecture design, and the built-in touch chip brings faster operation response speed. (For multi-touch capacitive screens, manipulation will be more sensitive). In addition, the elimination of the glass cover also gives a better display under the sun.

Compared with TFT:

AMOLED is the panel's self-illuminating; while TFT is the back light on the LCD panel; AMOLED effect is richer and brighter, and the screen can be clearly seen in the daytime; the most important thing is that AMOLED is much lower power consumption.
