Many countries today are undergoing economic recession. A large number of companies have gone bankrupt. Aggravating this deplorable situation, costs for the basic necessities of life like food, clothing, and shelter, and for health insurance continue to sky racket. These circumstances have caused great anxiety and distress to many people. How can a person be spared from poverty and misfortune?
People who are lazy, or those individuals who refuse to work even though they are physically and mentally capable, will end up in poverty. They sleep most of the time and, even when are awake, their hands refuse to work. A lazy person cannot provide for his needs and those of his family, they hurt themselves and also cause grief and pain to others.
A person who is unemployed can get and education. Finishing school, especially college will open many doors of opportunity. They can acquire specialized training to enhance their skills and they need to improve personality. And lastly, be prayerful. For God will provide for a good job for us.
Although having a job is necessary, a person should also make sure that his work is decent so he can provide for his and his family’s needs, and will also have something to those who are in need. Do not waste time, be productive to improve life.
