The time of year has come again... where people either feel super lonely and sad about being alone or really excited for their Valentine's dinner plans.
Unfortunately, for Joe and I, we are not together today. Joe actually works in a different province in Canada on a 3 week on/10 day off work rotation. I know, it's sad. So, as you can see, we've been striving to find ways to change the paths of our future.
Even though Joe may be far away, he still made the effort to make time to video chat with me over dinner and he even got me a present [that was supposed to be delivered today but is currently running late, I'll show you guys once it gets here].
Honestly, Valentine's Day should be everyday. It shouldn't be an excuse to go on a date or to make the effort in doing something special. The true appreciation is in the intangible things - the things we do everyday for the people we love even though it's not required.
Whatever or wherever you end up today, always remember that even though you may not have a special someone to share today with, know that you are loved by friends, family and the Steemit community!
