At some point you will either end your slavery, or your masters will. Ultimately, your life is your own, and you are not actually property. You cannot avoid your personal and sole authority to exert your will. Sooner or later you will be free or you will be dead. Given the choice, I will prefer to die a free man, since I do not have a choice as to whether I live or die, but will necessarily die. Therefore the threat of death is no threat at all. The real threat is me living as a free man that disempowers wannabe overlords, and cuts obligate parasites off from my wealth. I am as willing to die on that hill as any other.
