Exactly. Not just about Iran retaliation either. I very much get the feeling that there's billions of Truman shows being crafted for each of us individually, that AI and comprehensive surveillance data are directing our personal feeds and perceptions to create our beliefs about the events ongoing tailored to each of us, specifically in order to produce our reactions - or lack of them.
There are a great many shadows falling on the stage from outside the theater, however, such as the success and resilience of the Houthis, that are able to create a remarkably strong blockade of the Red Sea with ridiculously little industrial capacity. I've seen FPV drones from Yemen literally made of sticks and string. Such astounding off script inputs disrupt the carefully crafted narrative I'm being fed, and I've become alert to detecting such disruption, cherishing the cognitive dissonance that points to my misconceptions being disproved, such as that carrier task forces, satellite surveillance, and the mighty military power of the West can secure shipping against some poor shepherds in rough country with some sticks and string.
Such realizations blow the narrative away, and I get glimpses - I hope - of reality in such cracks in the edifice of propaganda I am confronted with. Like the armor the WHO and Big Pharma were secure behind has been revealed to be hole cloth and the guilty can be held accountable for the cruel genocide they have caused. Like the myth of the two party checks and balances in America is dispelled, and a uniparty that only fields lifelong Democrats as candidates is what is left. Like the blatant machinations killing our cities has become undeniable, and the people I talk to and work with every day assert their discovery of these things to me. I am assured that good people aren't falling into the spell being woven around us, that we will pay the price for real freedom, justice, and prosperity that has inspired all humanity to dream of the coming day when everyone everywhere will break out of the boxes we are trapped in and seize the true paradigm prospective to our posterity.
Apocalypse means truth is revealed, and insofar as it also means upheavals of ancient ways, it means we can make new ones based on the revelations we have seen. Post-apocalyptic doesn't have to mean misery and suffering, if we seize the paradigm that brings peace and prosperity that is at our fingertips, when we work together to make it happen, instead of being divided by Machiavellian manipulators. Prophets have foretold a coming paradise, and billions of good people earnestly desire it, not some hellish dystopia. Together, we're going to make it.
