RE: Just Do Something Principle!

"Be always sure you are right, then go ahead."--Davy Crockett

"Don't just do something, sit there."--anonymous

It is when we are just sitting there that we are able to consider what is or isn't right. Action is necessary, but only after we gain reasonable certainty what action to take.

I work construction, and have worked for and with a lot of guys that say "Do something, even if it's wrong." I utterly repudiate that. When building something, and someone does something the wrong way, the project stops. No one can keep adding to the structure if the part they need to build onto is built wrong. Then what is done wrong needs to be undone. This costs more money to do than was budgeted to do it right, because someone was already paid to do it right, and they did it wrong - but still got paid. Finally, someone needs to do it right, basically costing three times what was originally necessary to do it right in the first place - and delaying the entire project (probably costing a whole bunch more money too).

haha yeah, when building a house you truly should think.. :D

but when doing stuff for yourself you should just do sometimes instead of wasting days after day of "thinking" and postponing.

Also when practizing wu wei :D :P
