Why was the solar wax melter painted black?:)

in #life8 years ago

Hello everybody! These weekends I  helped my boyfriend to get his bee farm ready for summer season. That was quite interesting and a bit dangerous because the bees were agressive. So my boyfriend told me if I'm a handmade master, the painting work will perfectly suit me.

I started to paint  solar was melter. It was quite old and ugly.

First of all I removed old paint layers with the help of metal brush.

To tell you the truth, I cant stand the sound this brush makes when it touches the wooden surface...

When the melter was brushed and clean, I started to paint it. I thought that it should be bright and beautiful, yellow, for example...But my boyfriend gave me black paint! Umph...

I like painting, so I repainted the wax melter with pleasure!

Well, it looks like coffin now - big and black. But this color is the best one for solar wax melter, because black doesn't reflect sun light, it absorbs it. So the the black solar melter will be hoter than white or yellow one. This is definitely what we need for wax to be melt quickly.

Thanks for reading.
