I have been thinking a lot about what happened on Jan 6, 2021.
A large number of individuals who are racists, nationalists, trumpists, driven by right-wing collectivist ideas and conspiracy theory, stormed one of the main US federal government buildings - the United States Capitol.
Those who made this disgusting, anti-democratic, and uncivilized act are, in general, individuals who really believe in lies, myths, and more or less bullshit stories and conspiracy theories such as that "the elections were stolen".
What Capitol Riots show is that democracy cannot be taken for granted, not even in among the oldest democracies in the world as in the case of the USA. Democracy has to be promoted, defended, and renewed every day.
