RE: I'm Looking For Some Advice

in #life2 months ago

The only thing I can think of at the moment is get a large, military type canvas tent (think of the MASH tent). While you and the girls live in it, you dismantle the current house, dry out the wood and insulation before it can mold, then use the materials to construct something livable. Do sorry you are going through this :( ....

Thanks @wrestlingdesires, we certainly need an alternative, that is for sure. I just don't have the finances for it at the moment unfortunately. I do like the idea of a Mash tent though xx

If it comes down to it, you can do what some friends did on their property (large family with kids of all ages).

  1. Buy a massive tarp, the largest you can afford.
  2. Build a wood frame with some of your soon to be no more trailer :(
  3. Fill in the blanks and insulate with cardboard, large pieces and huge boxes can be obtained for free.
  4. Get the tarp over it before everything gets wet.
  5. Invest in duct tape for the eventual little holes

Please note this was a year round HOME complete with wood and cook stove. It's a viable option until you have the finances to upgrade, they lived comfortably there for years.
