These last 6 months I've been experiencing more and more fatigue and during my last annual checkup, learned that I am bleeding internally. I guess that would make you kind of tired ;) On one hand, I was relieved to hear there was a reason and on the other hand, I found that information terrifying.
I'm a very private person so I don't share a lot especially if it has any hint of negativity, but I think it's probably a good time to drop that ideology and let everyone know what's going on and why I haven't been posting or connecting much lately.
Tomorrow I'll be going in for surgery and have another one on Thursday to determine the cause from the GI perspective. Hopefully, they find something that is not so bad and this little journey ends this week with a healing plan.

Update: I had surgery on the 5th and they found blood pooling in several areas from capillary breach (kind of resembles what spider veins look like but probably part of an auto-immune process). They sent in many biopsies but were unable to 'repair' the bleeding and so I go in the 14th to a big hospital where they have the equipment to repair and also to do a third surgery to evaluate my lower GI for bleeding. I JUST got the news that all biopsies came back 'clear' for disease (ie....cancer) from the first surgery. My energy is up due to prescription of iron for the blood loss and they just repeated more bloodwork this morning to see if my blood is remaining where it is or getting worse (I feel more energy and my lips are no longer white so I'm thinking I'm good there). Just have to get through the 14th, get things repaired and hopefully more good news!
Update: Thank you all so much for the prayers and love. Surgery went well yesterday. One down, two more to go. I did have some blood pooling but unfortunately I will have to go to a bigger hospital in order to repair and stop bleeding. It's crazy but the hospitals are so full that they are having trouble finding an OR to accommodate. So, I am on standby.
Friday I go in to make sure the blood loss is not getting worse.
