SLRs with paintprizers work in such a way: through the lens, the light goes inside the camera and falls on a mirror located behind the lens, by reflecting that mirror, the light leads upward, where a five angle There is a pentamirror that turns the light twice and exits through a viewfinder.
So when you look in the viewfinder of a normal SLR camera, you see the image similarly. And when the shutter button is pressed then the mirror behind the lens gets up and instead of moving into the light viewfinder, the film falls on the image on which the image is printed. It is roughly the same functionality of a normal SLR camera.
So 65 years ago when such a camera came, this technique was very revolutionary and in a short time the technique became common, the SLR cameras started becoming similar. From that time there were forty years later in the 1990s- Two Kodak, Pentax, Minolta, etc. were sunset, Nikon and Canon were the only two SLR masters flags Were standing up.
When the time came of digital cameras, they made small digital cameras, but in place of something new to replace the aging PentPrism SLR technology, they digitized the same old technology, i.e. the digital sensor replaced instead of the film. And the old garbage was recycled. And for the last 15-20 years these two great digital SLRs are being eroded.
Although Nikon and Canon were engaged in selling this aging technique, there was no need for this technique in the digital era. Instead of reflecting the light coming out of the lens, instead of reflecting it by the mirror, let it go directly to the sensor and then from there, a digital image is shown on an electronic viewfinder, that should be the digital technology and with this technology the cameras are made of mirror less The camera is called.
With the cameras coming out of the mirror, etc., the cameras were lightened, leaving them smaller in size. Another advantage also happened that the lens of these cameras became too light, there was no need for excessive weight of SLR lenses with Pentaprism.
Crying paintprisms cry and cry out the quality of the optical viewfinder of SLR and keep an eye on the electronic viewfinder, but in my eyes, these people are just people who are afraid of change. The electronic viewfinder has developed quite well and has many advantages over the optical viewfinder.
