After months and months of deciding which gaming chair I should get, I've made my decision to go for the Secretlab Titan EVO 2022. I wasn't sure 3 months ago but when Secretlab released the latest titan evo, I was won over. Let's rewind a few months back when all of this began.
It was about earlier this year that I realized that my neck often hurts from long working hours in front of the PC. Being an animator by profession, I usually spend really long hours in front of the computer. My current office chair was good, but it didn't have a neck/head rest so thus began my scouting for a good chair. I asked on Facebook for recommendations and many friends told me to just go to IKEA and get another office chair because gaming chairs are overrated. This was coming from people who had never tried a premium gaming chair like Secretlab or Noblechairs. You can never believe people too much. So I went to do my own research. Read honest reviews from low end brands to higher end premium brands.
After reading A LOT of good reviews on this chair, and looking at how high it was rated, I've decided to go with this latest version of the TITAN EVO and boy was it worth it.
I pre-ordered the small, softweave+ cookies and cream edition which was fabric instead of leather. Living in a hot country like Malaysia, I don't think I would enjoy having sticky skin on leather materials. The wait was 2 months and time flew really slowly ever since I hit that payment button.
I finally received my huge parcel yesterday night and you know that you're in good hands when the company has given every thought to their product, from head to toe, the product itself and the unboxing experience. Everything was well packaged with very clear instructions to follow. The whole chair assembly only took less than 20 minutes and the process was very simple to follow.
If you have a hard time reading instructions, there is even a qr code that leads to an assembly video that's only 4 minutes long. You can see how easy it is to assemble the chair yourself.
The Assembly Process
One of the latest features of this model of titan evo is the magnetic PU foam arm rest that is easily detachable and swapped. I'm sure Secretlab will be coming out with more types of armrest to suit the customer's liking and by then, you'll be able to hotswap these babies out. You also get a magnetic memory foam neck rest that can just seamlessly attach on the head part of the chair. Everything is so convenient and comfortable.
Every chair comes with a NFC scan to verify your chair's authenticity. All you have to do is scan your phone on seal at the back of your chair and you'll get details and records of your chair. So far the chair feel really good to sit on and would work well for long hours. I'm glad that I've chosen this chair and it's really true, you get what you pay for. Good thing, I didn't go for the IKEA office chairs.
