Linux isn't bad and has lots of potential but unfortunately it still lacks the three C's: Collaboration, Community and Compatibility. With its nature of being FOSS there are so many options to pick from and so many arbitrary sides people are formed, it's hard to choose anything and not have anyone shove down your throat how option X is better than what you have.
Seeking help in the Linux community has been the biggest travesty I've ever experienced, even worse than experiencing Windows 7 or 10 RTM. Also, it's still nowhere near being viable for desktop despite all the source code being openly available for people to work on.
I have used it and thought it's awesome but unfortunately it still hasn't met all my needs: my VR headset didn't work, my video editor didn't work, and neither did some games that couldn't be saved even with Proton GE. But in my opinion without these three things being improved on, it has no chance to finally bring about that infamous year of the Linux Desktop. Just my two cents.
I use linux for fun on my second pc but as a main pc I use Windows for gaming and editing.
