So in my last post, I had mentioned the return of an old friend to my blog post and website. So without further ado let me introduce you to
LEO, The Master List Builder.

Leo was my mascot from my traffic exchange years ago and it is time that I put him back to work.
Now, onto the post...
Know, Like, and Trust
If you have been involved with CTP or ListNerds and/or have listened to @jongolson for any length of time, then you know what I am talking about.
If you expect to be able to engage your list members then they need to know who you are. This is one of the few things that we seem to have lost with our current marketing culture.
Since my return to online marketing and the new connection to the blockchain, I have seen that we have returned to using screen names. Now there is nothing wrong with using screen names, but I believe that you should also have your REAL NAME on your profile. This makes your relationship with your list more intimate and builds a stronger bond of trust.
People like to know who they are dealing with whether they are just reading a blog post, or they are interested in something you are promoting.
People prefer to buy from someone they know, like and trust so let’s make sure they know who we are.
Until next time,
John Novak
I may not always comment, but I gave you a little upvote :) Again reading this through List nerds.
Thanks Bradley, I appreciate the support.
That is one of the things Hive and the communities are all about.

. Keep up the fantastic work
I found Hive to be an incredible list builder for me.
Having formed a basis on here, it is fun to watch the expansion around me take place. This seems to have a direct benefit on my "brand".
I really do agree with you, so when I first joined Hive I had no clue what I was doing and did not even have marketing in mind, I rectified that with my 2nd Hive account @chris.topher
You are correct I need to go through all of the Hive Frontends and all of my social media accounts and be sure the profiles describe me as a person. Thanks for helping me up my game.
Glad to be of any help. I appreciate the read and comment.
List building wins. I love that part of it. John, glad we're getting to know\like\trust you. I'm Rob and I write about planning, goals, and marketing. I sometimes throw in a dad joke. :)
Hi Rob, I watched you on Chris's show. You guys were great. Thanks for the read and comment as well as your support.
Wow, I forgot about Leo.
I have had my name on my profile since I came to Hive. 🙂
Yeah, this does not apply to most marketers, it is mostly intended for the HIVE crowd who may not have heard this message in the past.
I will not tell Leo that you forgot about him.
Thanks, Mike for all of your help and support. I really appreciate it.
I am still not sold on building a list. I have never built a list nor have I ever wanted to. Using traffic exchanges with chats in them works cause you make friends thru them. But if I email you an offer you don't know me. So why in the hell should I buy from you. If I can talk with you then were on the same playing field. Sure the offer has to be something that will knock your socks off and by all means I'll buy what your selling. The use of user names goes hand in hand especially online in Affiliate marketing. No matter what program your using they ask for a user name. Sure your real name goes in the profile but it's the user name everyone knows you by. That's my two cents.
I appreciate the reply @jafo40. The exchange of ideas is what makes us civilized. Thanks for commenting.
Hello and welcome back. I remember Leo. This community is pretty awesome. Engagement is mutually beneficial. And I can't imagine why anyone would not have their real name and photo on their profile.
Well, Lisa, everyone must travel the road they choose. If we all thought the same it would be a very boring world. Thanks for reading and commenting.
I also remember you. It is good to see you doing so well.
You're welcome and Thank you, John. Have a great day!😀

I don't think I have really heard about that list builder but I am more of a blogger on Hive rather than a affiliate marketer. I have to agree that I am more likely to believe things from people like Jon or Taskmaster.
I agree, reputation is everything. Thanks for reading and commenting.
I partially agree with you John regarding using your real name. That indeed inspires more trust. However, on a blockchain like Hive every move you make is public, and that includes your balances and your feed history (where you might've disclosed additional personal information). At some point they may become magnets for bad actors. For that reason, I still regret I added my photo (an old one), instead of a caricature or an avatar. But at that time I didn't know better.
Valid point @gadrian. I appreciate the read and comment.
Wow...Blast from the past! Leo the ListBuilder!!!!
What a legend :)
Thanks for sharing man, and of course using ListNerds!
Thanks, Jon. Leo has been cooped up too long, lol
Thank you for the read and comment.
Oh, and tell Luke that it is nothing personal.😄
Totally agree your real name should be in your profile. I ran into one the other day, Dr. Death. Really did not feel like engaging with him or her at all. Know, like and trust is the way to go.
Thanks, Bob for reading and commenting. I understand your point I have come across a few uncomfortable nicknames.
