A crowd of people walked through the airport, some to meet loved ones other were leaving family and friends. At Gate E4, the gate to the Garuda flight to Bali, a crowd of people stood. They were waiting for the arrival of the DETA flight. The DETA flight was the flight from Jakarta to Bali. This was the return flight.
The DETA flight was the main reason for the gathering at Gate E4. The passengers would come out of the gate and would greet their loved ones.
One of the passengers on the DETA flight was a young man. He stood ten feet away from the crowd and waited for the passengers to come out of the gate. For the best part of the hour, the young man stood to watch the sky and wonder. It was a wonder that nearly every day echoed in his heart. The deep sky above would have been out soon. He turned his eyes towards the sky. He also loved the deep blue of the sky, but he didn't want his dreams to end. He turned to the first officer of the DETA flight. The first officer and the young man conversed briefly.
"Sorry I'm going to miss you," said the first officer.
"I am going back to Bali. I love Bali. I will miss you," said the young man.
"Then I have no other choice except to say goodbye again."
After a few seconds, the first officer moved away.
The young man smiled. He knew that if you move away from someone it means I am going to miss you.
The young man moved slowly away from the crowd and sat a few yards away. He said goodbye again to the first officer. The first officer smiled back at the young man. The face of the young man radiated happiness and grace. He took out a picture of a young woman. The young woman was beautiful, very beautiful.
The young woman was the mother of the young man. The woman died at a young age. The young man loved his mother. He loved his mother so much that no one could even understand his love for his mother.
Even if he had an opportunity to live with his mother and be with his mother, he wouldn't want to live with his mother. He missed his mother so much.
As the crowd waited, they noticed that one of the passengers haven't come out of the gate. The minutes went by and the crowd became restless. There was no movement at the gate. The crowd stood and waited. The air traffic controller of the airport called the flight crew control room and confirmed the report. The flight crew of the DETA flight was unwilling to come out and talk to the crowd. The crowd became restless to see the lost passenger.
One of the passengers spoke to the air traffic controller. "We have waited a long time for our families to come out. We are anxious and want to move on. Can you do something for our families? We would like to see our families," he pleaded.
The air traffic controller tried to call the flight crew of the DETA flight again. Again, the pilot didn't come back from the cockpit. It was the same story for the flight crew of the flight.
"The flight crew isn't coming back. What shall I do," asked the air traffic controller.
"They might not have knowledge on why they are delayed. It is a very tall order," said one of the passengers.
"Okay. We will wait," said the air traffic controller, who was beginning to get embarrassed.
In the flight crew control room of the Garuda flight, the air traffic controllers began to get angry as well. They wanted to get the flight crew to come out and talk with the passengers. They were worried about the passenger in Bali.
The flight crew of the Garuda flight suddenly saw a menu on the monitor. The menu was showing the flights, and the flight 'DETA Flight' was delayed. The flight crew of the Garuda flight laughed. They saw the concern on the face of the air traffic controller.
