Find Your Medicine and Use It

We are all different people. Each of us has walked a completely unique winding journey to the present day, and will continue to walk a path untraveled by anyone else. This means that every experience life gifts us will also be completely novel and unique to you and you alone. Every joyous moment of celebration is preceded by a lifetime which grants us a set of eyes which transforms that joy into a completely new cosmic moment.

The same is true for whatever flavor of experience that falls into our lap. When we are going through a rough moment, it is a completely unique challenge. While other people may have gone through similar things, they had their perspectives, insights, and resources to draw on. Thus, everything potential challenge in life has may be easy to one person, but inconceivably insurmountable to another.

Our trials can and will tax us in all sorts of ways. The solution to amend our ailments may not be the same as someone else. If you've ever had someone tell you how easy it was for them to do what you're struggling with, you know the frustration and feelings of failure that comes with it not working.

We must take it upon ourselves to find our medicine: that which can relieve the pain, difficulty, and suffering in our lives. Relying on someone else only disempowers us and ensures that the person looking for answers won't know the problem as well as we do. If the solutions we've applied up to this point have not worked, then we must be willing to branch out and experience something new. It's the only way to discover what we really need.

Sometimes all you need is to be in the sunlight.

Sometimes all you need is a hug from a friend.

Sometimes you need to be held for longer

Sometimes you need to be left alone

Sometimes something sweet can turn your mood

Sometimes something sour can change your mind

Sometimes what worked no longer does

Sometimes what aggravated the problem now makes it better

Sometimes the solution is obvious

Sometimes the answer is hidden

Sometimes all you need is time

Sometimes you need to act now

Sometimes the answer will present itself

Sometimes we need to go within to find what we need
