I am still loving to touch the Apple Desktop or laptop whenever get chances. Currently i have my own small repair/solution workplace but without Apple authorization because I can't afford Apple fee to become Apple authorized service provider.
However it is fact that before 2015 i was ACMT (Apple Certified Macintosh Technician) and working for an Apple authorized Service provider firm.
Last week one of my old customer called me and said that my MacMini is starting at all so please help,i told him to do some steps but no avail. I was unable to visit his house due to the lockdown but fortunately his sister is working my office side in a hospital hence she is allowed to move everywhere. He came to my workplace with MacMini.
Now it was my turn to resolve it anyway since he had to use this MacMini to provide online lectures from his home to the students. After 2015 i became manager in charge in old company hence left to touch or repair any device. After all i checked MacMini nerves and said to customer that you can go back and come tomorrow to collect it in working condition.
Problem was challenging because after pressing the power button startup process gets stuck with apple logo and white screen. I don't have any extra bootable device or extra Apple machine at all from which I can get some help.
Using option key during booting i mangoe to enter online recovery mode but before starting online reinstalling I chose Disk utility and tried to repair the disk first but got HDD error there erase the OSX installed partition and started reinstalling online. Now the drama starts..
Just few minutes later of reinstalling online process appeared this error Can't download the additional components needed to install Mac OSX. This error annoyed me for few hours because it was totally new for me. I tried to google but didn't get any complete solution hence stopped work and go to sleep peacefully. I wake up again came to battle field because in three hours customer was about to come. I did only one thing and it was internet connection, yes I changed only wifi internet connection and installation started and completed within hour.
Customer came around 10:30 a.m and collected the MacMini after paying Rs.1500 which around $20.
