Chango’s presence is a fiery tipped sword of power and goodness. He is dressed finely in red and white, and crowned in gold. His axe which is never far from his hand is always prepared to strike. He wields this weapon with precision and it always goes where he intends it to. No matter the person who he possesses he is always larger than anyone in the room.

Whenever you need a strong straight forward King as an ally, Chango is ever ready to come to your side. He is not a brute or uncontrolled like some warriors. His preference would be to not need to fight at all. When needed though he is fierce.

Fire burns in this kings eyes but it is the fires of heaven that enlivens his tongue. Chango has identified himself as not only a King and Warrior, but also a minister. It is from him that we learn much of the grace of God. He sometimes will minister just as much as any evangelical preacher. His sermons teach of godliness and of liberty. He encourages us to think for ourselves. Many times his message is about the path of the individual being preferred to the path of the masses. He is an individual and expects you to be as well. As free people who own themselves, he will advise that you steer your path towards God in your own particular way.

Chango detests anything perceived as evil and will not tolerate evil in any form. He also will temper goodness with control and place limits on its defense. It is his directive that no man shall kill another man using his name as justification. He also is opposed to spreading what might be perceived as his religion. He instead suggests, because everyone has their own way to god, for us to minister to others based on their religion and not your own. This means that if someone is a Christian you should minister to them about Christ and how best to find him, or if they are Muslim to seek the Koran for the illumination of their soul. He understands that that the mountain that leads to god has many donkeys and it is not our job to replace a man’s donkey with our own if their donkey needs fed; instead we should feed their animal from a meal that his stomach is used to. If their mount is to die then it will be up to them to choose a new belief system and not our job to either poison their belief with ours or lead them to what we think they need. Everyone must choose their own destiny. This being said, if someone comes to us and asks of our way we should share fully and honestly. Chango teaches that by sharing ideas everyone’s beliefs are enlarged and better serve them.

He is the part of us that rises above this world and embraces the regal nature of creation. Liberty is also on his lips at all times. Though he is a king, he is the divine crown within each of us. His political nature is obvious. Freedom is the destiny of mankind and it will be the Axe of Chango that carves through the tyranny of totalitarian government. It is his practice to periodically have all in attendance at ritual affirm to spread and protect individual liberty.
