How are you with this recent dip? Many leveraged traders got rekt, many panic sold, many got nervous.
As a hodler, I'm just okay. I regret not selling ETH when it was $4k to be able to buy back at a lower price. My portfolio halved too but as long as you don't sell, then you're okay. The hardest part of this is the psychological part but being in crypto since 2018, I barely got affected that much compared to the newbies.
I bought the dip but I thought it was already the dip lol. So when it dipped more, I had no USDT anymore. I'm still bullish tho.
How do you cope?
With the fast-moving market, I've been coping through purchasing stuff... I'm still being careful with what I buy tho and when I do major purchases I think about it a lot.
It makes me feel good at the same time it gives me something to look forward to (waiting for deliveries) but I know it has to be controlled big as well. xD
Anyway, I bought these eyeshadow palette and brushes which I will be using for photoshoots soon cos I wanna get back to those portraits and improving my art as well. (See, not all of my purchases are useless)
This was on 50% sale so it didn't hurt. I also don't know this brand at all, doesn't matter much cos I will only use it for photos.

It's very pigmented so this is gonna be exciting for photos. The brush is also so cute and matches the mood there. :P
This is also me going back to what I really liked as a child. I like glitters and all shiny pink stuff but when I was a teenager I wanted all dark. I take that as me slowly going out of depressive mode. :p
and desperately wanting to get my life back
Sold my ETH at $4000 a few days ago, wish I woulda sold LTC too. But anyway, I bought some BTC, LTC and LINK today and will also gradually re-buy ETH as well. I don't mind if we trend down for a bit, I've been thinking this will be a multi-peak cycle for a while now.
I don't believe the bull market is over, but we may cool off for a while (which IMO is healthy.) There's lots of market manipulation going on, these dumps are orchestrated to allow whales to sell and rebuy lower and scare smaller investors out of the market.
If I'm wrong and we enter a years-long-bear trend, that's OK too as this time around (unlike 2017) I actually have taken profits OFF the table and into some stable coins. However, if I HAD to make a bet... I would say we will remain in a macro bull trend until 2022 even if we go down/sideways for a few more months before BTC creates another all-time-high and ultimately hits at least $100K (probably higher.) [not financial advice lol]
Keep calm; stack coins; enjoy life! End of the day — it's just money ;-) There are more important things in life.

Sooo true. 2017 peak was like a blink of the eye lol that’s why it’s really different now. I also think this will last til 2022,as most of us are in restricted travels and lockdowns people will need online payments and crypto is really good for that.

Those advices are common. If it's from someone random that doesn't even know anything about crypto then it's ridiculous. Better to take advice from someone who knows how to analyze markets and with years of experience. Best advice that I know ofc is to sell whenever you're happy so there's no regrets after doing so.

I’ve been buying a lot lately don’t see the point in selling really you only make it harder to get back in later and add to your tax burdens so you have to become economical with your trades the days of simple in and outs are long gone
I store only in Bitcoin so I’m not too phased about what the rest of the market does so I don’t feel that much pain as alt coiners
I also think that these dips give me the chance to build my stake to a point where I’ll never need to sell but borrow against which is my end goal
Our country doesn't tax crypto as far as I know (one of the crypto friendliest country I think) so I don't have to worry about it but yeah I see it as your problem. Calculating those are shittyyyy and a big problem lol.

I would like to save money for puzzles or for eventually buying a new pc. but if Hive price keeps going down I might have to delay those plans and buy a bit of hive.
