As we are all feeling the pressures with our hours of work be cut back or been put of work completely sadly to say , luckily i still have some part time work on my hands which , i am grateful for today having a few hours to to spare , i needed to get out for a walk to see what Covid-19 Friday looked like out there.
Well sadly to sad for a Friday with a big city like Bangkok with a population of 12 million people it was deserted with just a hand full of people and cars everywhere i walked a scary situation to embrace.
All the major shopping malls like Termil 21 , Siam Paragon , Robinsons and Time Square all on lockdown. It has been said Covid-19 has hit Thailand’s economy harder than any event in the last six decades.
A total disaster and not only here in Thailand but all around the world is heading if not already in recession and it's going to take strong communities to bring this world back together.
Everywhere i walked shops , restaurants , shopping malls just everything closed down , i would see the odd street vendor selling his cheap fruit and veggies which was a great thing to see very well appreciated at these difficult times and good that the 7/11 stores have remained open ever if it's to 10 pm because of the curfew , we are lucky over here we have a 7/11 store at nearly every corner you turn so you don't have to walk far to get all them goodies you need and they have lots of toilet paper in stock 😆 😆
Upper level walkways that lead you into shopping complexes or the Skytrain station normally bustling with people empty. Major city roads empty. Train station handful of people for a Friday afternoon just hard to imagine were normally if you throw a pin in the air it wouldn't fall to the ground. 😢
All the back street market stores and little drinking bars a ghost town. To bad if your a alcoholic you would have to worry about dying of Covid-19 😢
Empty Buses 😢
The only people in this city making money at the moment is Grab and Panda delivery services and the lucky kids who have these jobs of delivering the takeaways. Look at the number of them out front of Terminal 21 waiting for there next order to deliver 😊
For some reason who knows two reasons i can think off maybe because of the tropical weather the virus doesn't like extreme heat and the people here have really taken it seriously and are doing as there told by the government.
There have now been 2,672 cases in 68 provinces over here in Thailand and out of them cases 1,593 patients had gone home and 1,033 remained having treatment. Forty six have died. If this is true we are doinng very well over here.
Stay safe , healthy and keep that distance you all and hope we can get back to our shopping real soon 😊
Thank you @dswigle for giving us the opportunity to show of our countries markets on #marketfriday it is certainly a very knowledgeable subject to see what our neighboring countries can bring to us.

Rare pictures of empty streets....
Very sad to see 😢
A weird atmosphere of ghost towns everywhere...
Never thought i would see this it's real history in the making 🙀
It looks like something has zapped all the people away to another dimension.
Hope people will be released out into the sunshine soon!
I will tell my Aliens master captains of the ships to bring the humans back they have had enough fun on the other planet it's time to get back to work...lol 😆 😆
who would have thought a few months ago that the streets and malls would be so deserted right now
It's like the Aliens have come to earth and zapped all the humans wiped out the race...lol 😆
yeah it sure is strange isnt it
Hello!!?? This isn't a sight that I thought I would ever witness! That is for sure. I cannot believe how wrong it looks! Even in the middle of the night, the streets are not this deserted!
The Grab delivery people are really making the dollars right about now. I am glad that the small individual is still able to see their fruits and veggies. Here they allowed places that swell food and pharmacy to be open.
I can only say that it looks apocalyptic, and to even say those words bring goosebumps to my arms. It's eerie, isn't it? It looks unnatural and I worry about the people who are living on or below the poverty line. What about them and what are they doing? I will say that they may recover from this faster than the average person who is used to having money. These are scary times.
But, I know that we will persevere and come out on top.
I want to thank you for taking the time and risking it, just for #MarketFriday. ;) It is much appreciated and holy moly! I couldn't believe it!
#MarketFriday loves you!

Very eerie as you say i would never have imagined i would ever see this day it's certainly a great story to tell our grandkids that's for sure. Luckily a big percentages of Thais live of there farms and have food to eat.
We will get back to normal but our world will not be the same.
Not in a million years would I have ever imagined. I am so happy about the farms but can imagine they have more food than they know what to do with now.
I don't think we will ever be the same again either.
This is true they have more food then the farmers can eat but they are spreading it around for free to help people ❤️
I would say your right it is going to be a different world to live in hopefully in better ways where people will think differently towards many things.
I am so touched by their generosity!! That just made my whole day!
This is one thing i love about these people they stick together in time of need ❤️
