Off To Hive

in #marketfriday10 months ago (edited)

I was touring around the little town of Bayfield, on the historical main st. I used to work on this street back in the day when I was 17 years old at the Albian Hotel, I didn't last very long working there. Well as I was touring the street I came across a neat looking place called Hive, interesting name! So of course I had to walk in. I talked with the owner there, she was a really nice lady, I told her I wanted to do a blog about the store/cafe on the hive platform, she said yes, so let's go check it out.

They had a cool looking sign saying all the specials of the day

I soo wanted to buy this plate, it had a rad looking map of the area on it. I used to be a big map collector a few years ago. I had to downsize recently though.

They had all sorts of great looking paintings for sale from local artists.

Thay had a nifty collection of clothes, plants, food, they also had a hammock, I really wanted to buy that, maybee when I'm rich. I also wanted to get the globe as well.

So I decided to get a coffee, because I am a coffee addict. I forgot to put cream and sugar in it, but I didn't even notice, because the coffee tasted so amazing

Everything tastes better when life is good, doesn't it?

I wonder how they got the name Hive? Did you ask him? The name usually reflects something connected in their life. Perhaps the original owner was a member of Hive?! You think? :)

It looked like a pretty cool place, must have been one of those restaurants with a gift shop/everything else shop too. I'll bet you will go back there again to check on your hammock! Were their prices expensive there? Thanks for taking us along with you!

When do you get to start your new job?

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday

I'm not sure how the owner came up with the name, she seemed surprised that there was a blogging platform called hive, the prices there were fair there. I started my new job a couple of weeks ago, its been going great there so far

I look forward to hearing about it as time moves forward.
