Hmmm... not sure if a large Stake of Steem tokens may help you to get some traction off chain? What we need now are influencers in the established networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Steemit, Inc is already helping to spread the word in those networks (just check their Twitter accounts for instance).
Let's stand together and not point a finger at each other. That to me is just a waste of valuable energy :-))

Of course it can, if they had liquidated some of that large Steem stake and used the money to buy advertising, Steem would be pumping right now.
They should have done in-app marketing, social media influencer marketing, the lot, and we'd see a lot healthier site right now. Instead Ned pushed out Dan and we all started going on about how great Ned was, when in fact he was doing a terrible job.
It's not about finger pointing, it's about pulling our heads out of the sand and saying hey, this is wrong; how do we fix it? Rather than acting as if everything is great until we can't ignore it anymore.
Because that is why Ned had to sack 70% of the staff, because he ignored all the warning signs that many people were shouting about.
Influencers do not do things for free...
