RE: Payouts "Find the Missing Number" Daily Contest for 2 October

in #math6 years ago

Thank you very much for the help!
I made the contest by looking around at the big accounts. @sydesjokes has his faucet, @maarnio has a similar contest, there are a lot of contests like mine.
How can i improve it? How else can I organise it?

Sort:

There's always risk that what established players do is not going to work well for the newcomers.
$5 in flags will not hurt a huge contest maker, but can cripple a small account for months.
I cannot reinvent your content for you.
I can however suggest that you find a way to scratch anything about Up-vote being required to participate.
I previously ran a lottery for little game community and I just required a very specific comment to participate.
Sure, the rewards do suffer when people can skip the up-vote, and your own growth may slow down.
I encourage you to think of some regular content to boost your numbers.
Also, participate in other people's contest.
@majes.tytyty basically gives $0.15 up-votes for very little effort on an almost daily basis to all valid entries in their Vocab-ability posts.
Basically, try to diversify.

Thanks for everything!
I think this is the end of steemit for me.
Have a nice day!

I was rude and should have not talked that way to someone who was discouraged.

A wise man is one who can reflect and change, proud of you @deliberator, I am happy we have people like you on this blockchain

Being nice from an account built by somebody else????
Classy!!!!

No one can build an account. This account is worthless without the steem in it. I paid lots of fiat for it just for the purpose of flagging and commenting.

Thanks! Very kind of you!
It does feel personal. And it made me powerless.

What do you think about the way donwvoting is being practice?

Ps: let me know if I can help you in anyway.

Got flagged @mapleleaf123? Annoyed? Welcome to the steem blockchain.

Don't worry, it's not the end. There are some cool people here that will help you out.

You just need to put the effort in to find them.

Combining social media with money is a new and novel concept, which makes the rules of engagement a bit different.

Many have given up, but those who have stuck around have built great accounts and get regular upvotes.

What you do from here is your choice, but how you will feel in a few years if steem goes to $10 or $100 a coin?

You can go and create an amazing contest on Facebook... But you will make... Zero.

I got loads of flags, but I am here and I am not going anywhere.

Sit back, relax, make some friends and enjoy the journey.

@kabir88

Well some down voting is just hateful and mean. And some of the guys with lots of sp are bullies.

At steemflagrewards we just want to clean up the garbage and its not about the people its about the long term viability of the platform. Many people just don't realize how much is going on here or who is behind what. I was that way and now after being here for almost a year I still am learning every day. Some things I don't think we will ever figure out. Because of the many accounts that are smart and anon.
But if you take some time dig in to the steemd 's and the steemdb 's of many of these accounts you will learn a lot.

Let me give you some examples to dig in @steemit @misterdelegation @fulltimegeek @transisto @nextgencrypto @smooth @freedom @pumpkin most of these guys own so many accounts you will never realize how much steem they actually hold. It would be wise not to be rude or hateful twards them because with a few clicks you could end up with an invisible account.

Then there are the badger accounts the jamesc accounts and many more. There is so much mystery and intrigue its hard not to dig all the time.

Try to make your own way. Find a group to join and get involved. Don't just copy another guys MO create your own.

I am not sure what has been the issues you were dealing with. When I stumbled onto this conversation I was just running around Upvoting @jplaughing s comments. He is one of the abuse fighters and moderators from @steemflagrewards.

They should care!
Not about me, of course, but about how the system works on steemit.
I never got an advice or a warning, just destroyed. No dialogue, no conditions in which the downvoting will stop.
When I pointed out that other (bigger) accounts are doing the same, the answer was "yes, but not you".
Do you think a system that alouds such a treatment will be the future, will offer an alternative to FB, for example?
Why should anybody make content if it is so easy, and random (nobody downvotes @maarnio for the same thing) to be reduced to zero?
I am disappointed in steemit, but I am glad it happened now.
Have a nice day!

Forgive me for being harsh with you. I was also having a bad day. There are lots of problems here and everywhere in life. We have to try to overcome them and plug away.
I think you can find your way here I did after getting some flags too in the beginning. When your new those flags feel personal. But most of them are not personal. Just try to learn who you can trust and fight your way through.
Thanks for not being a bigger ass than I was. Says a lot about the kind of guy you are.
