I really haven't given too much thought about the flag war/test lately. I can understand there are some pro and cons about it. Surely, I won't give a damn about it and I will continue posting because, in reality, I very rarely receive whale's upvotes lol.

it depends , if a post is at 30usd already 30.000 sp will bring a post up 50cents .
if you have 100K sp and a post is at 15usd it will bring the post up 1$

There is definitely a problem and I personally feel that Steemit will need to get rid of flags/downvotes (except for true TOS) Violations or it will not grow to become a major player. There is a reason both FB and Instagram does not have a "Dislike" button and have Block Button which is much needed here.
When people use a site they want to have fun not get attacked or harassed at least when that happens on FB and IG you can block the person. So such open here. Only mute which let's someone continue to harass you just you can't see it but I think everyone else still can.
The more open-minded, artistic and NSFW crowd need to start supporting each other more to counter the puritans that have banded together to attack.
