Why do we feel happy when we remember good memories?

Memories are capable of creating vivid, unforgettable experiences. The most important ingredients that help them build the association with emotions and visuals are context, and formative.

An occasion or a moment in time can be one of the best motivators for engagement - we expect emotional rewards to be greater following memorable social experiences.

A moment has the power to make one feel special. It’s when something or someone helped usher in a significant realization or led you closer to achieving a life dream.

It is said that without memories, people can’t comprehend the passage of time at all, and no one wants that. So, it’s a really important exercise for people to realize that they might not want to forget the experiences they have throughout their lives in order to try and relive them again later on.

On days when I am just not feeling myself and I'd like to celebrate some of my best moments, I find it easier if I keep myself reminiscing with friends who have also had some great moments from their own life instead. The hope is that through making these recollections together, we are able for being able for our good memories together by cementing them further within ourselves by 'sharing', and truly celebrating those special moments as well as sharing nostalgic stories about loved ones who have passed away.

Memories are always our “to-do list” that records the good and bad times in our life. They can make you feel joyful after you spent time with old friends back when you were ready to make amends.

You sometimes need to be reminded of the happy part of your memories, embrace them while they still last, and let go of painful heartbreaks. The positive emotions stored in memories can last a lifetime.

Memories are not merely a memory but an experience that becomes richer with every passing moment because each moment changes lives and the one thing about them is never fading away - even though time does by adding more folds to those creases in your mind.

No matter how much time has passed, memories will stay because it doesn't have to be something grand or even everyday life events that make memories long-lasting - sometimes it's as simple as little things: just walking down the same street, going for a jog in your favorite park where once you did, or having a coffee with an old friend.
