অামার সাথে সেলফিতে যে ষাঁড় গরুটি দেখতে পাচ্ছেন, সম্ভবত সেই সময়ে সেটা ছিল বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র হলেস্টিন ফ্রিজিয়ান পিউর ব্রিড।
তখন অামি ছিলাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের চতুর্থ বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী। অামাদের কৃষি সম্প্রসারন বিভাগ থেকে ৭ দিনের ফিল্ড ট্রিপে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। এই সাত দিনের মধ্যে এক দিন ছিলাম বাংলাদেশ পল্লী উন্নয়ন একাডেমী (RDA), বগুড়া।
সেখানেই দেখা মিলেছিল এই দৈত্যাকার ষাড়ের যেটা ঋিল অামার থেকে ও প্রায় দই ইঞ্চি খানেক লম্বা। সেখানকার কর্তৃপক্ষ থেকে জানাগেছে, দেশীয় গরুর জাত উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে সুদুর অষ্ট্রেলিয়া থেকে পিউর ব্রিডের দুটি ষাড় অানার উদ্যগ নেওয়া হয়। কিন্তু বিমানে করে অানার সময় একটি ষাড় মারা যায়। অার যে ষাঁড়টি বেচে ছিল, সেটাই অাজকের জর্জ।
অাপনারা কখনও বাংলাদেশ পল্লী উন্নয়ন একাডেমী (RDA), বগুড়াতে গেলে এই ষাঁড়টি দেখতে পাবেন।
