Mission Failed (?)!

Well it seems my goal of having at least 2000SP before the year ends is now finally out of reach seeing as there are only 5/6 days left before we bid goodbye to year 2018. Right now I only have 1797 natural owned SP, which means I need 203 SP more or at least earning 40.6 SP per day in the next 5 days. Lol Yeah I only get an average of $2-$3 so nope! Not gonna happen!

On a somewhat positive note though, it seems I am still around my average SP growth (around 250SP+ per month) which is pretty okay for me. Back when I first started I can still remember how I'm only increasing 30-50SP per month so a 250 increase is something to be thankful for, although this was mostly due to the huge drop in the market price of Steem. I am growing fast though so at least congratulate me!

Besides from my average SP growth, I gained nothing much this month followers and UA-wise. Probably because I have been pretty occupied lately and have some sudden gatherings and celebrations to attend to.

Also, I know some of you might check my wallet after reading this and yes I do have 200+ liquid Steem lying around there hence the 'question mark' in this title, in theory I could use those Steem to reach my year-long goal but I'm still contemplating about that idea since for months now I have been using my liquid rewards to pay for my monthly bills and buy myself some game credits online.

Well! Merry Christmas again you guys! And yes! I accept vests as a Christmas gift! 203 SP to be exact LOL

Maybe you think that you have failed. But remember it is better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all.
And a monthly increase of 250SP is just whopping. So congrats on that!
I you can manage a growth of 250SP per month next year, your goal for the end of 2019 should be to become a dolphin!

In all honesty this would not have been possible if not for the disappointing price of Steem, I remember back then earning around $5 on some of my posts and the SP increase were only around 0.5-1SP.

Right now a $5 potential payout is around 5SP increase (and around 5 liquid Steem), if the price stays as it is Dolphin Level might really be achievable in the future. XD

A little bit out of my league. That would require an increase of 4000SP next year. I don't see that happening, but if I could reach half way, I would be delighted!

You have not failed. You are a huge winner in this game. I also use this money for living expenses. Do not power up and feel broke. Getting there in January or February will be a good enough accomplishment. Maybe put 10% in and tighten your belt a tiny bit.

I write minnow tips here and will give you a few ideas. Take 'em or leave 'em :)

• post 2 posts a few times a week if you can. You are really good with consistency. 10 posts a week instead of 6-7 will help you grow.
• enter contests and challenges not related to steemmonsters. This will grow your circle of people more - even though you are really doing good with the many people voting your posts, you can do better.
• Search the tags for "contests" or "giveaways" try to find "homes" out of your current box where you post those few extra posts each week. Talk to the other people who regularly enter and make new friends. The more followers the better for busy, as I'm sure you know.
• go after more sbi shares. Enter contests or hold your own. A few shares a week extra will build up over time. Use 1 steem a week and give one to a friend who helped you randomly and that's 52 shares right there. You could write a post about it each week or month, or add this info to your monthly update.
• post with esteem for some of your posts. They give good upvotes 75% of the time if you use them and have good posts (you do). They are a better upvote than busy and make it worth their cut they take.
• Try dtube a couple of times a week if you can. One minute videos are not hard and are a hit. Do a "monster card of the day" or something like that.
• Try actifit (I saw you did) or partiko if you are good on a phone. Good upvotes and communities in both.

I'm so glad I saw your post today @jlordc. You are a great role model, and I wish I was as successful as you.

I did try weeks ago about increasing my posting activity (to 2 posts a day) but was kind of hard to maintain. My plan back then was 1 Busy.org post and 1 ESteem post a day (and even throw a little Actifit report once in a while) to maximize the upvotes from these platforms. Problem is I'm just too lazy to do 2 posts a day. Lol

Thanks for pointing out about "growing my circle" here, and yeah! That's my plan for next year. Be more active and engaging towards others. I'm not gonna lie and say that I have been pretty lazy lately in engaging with other people's content. :)

Will check out DTube once there livestreaming feature is back and fully working again. My initial plan was to livestream once in a while some of the games I play with. XD

Again! Thanks for the tips! And yeah I also really think that I need to enter contests to get more exposure and win some shares. :)

P.S: I highly suggest you check the Musing platform too if you are into answering some questions and giving your thoughts and opinions about some topics. They give decent upvotes to "quality" contributions.

Thank you very much for the musing tip. I took a look at musing a few weeks ago and was not sure what I was seeing. But I will look again. I'm long-winded for sure, and I comment a lot so maybe I will try.

I'm entering contests all the time. I win constantly since few people enter most of them. A lot of them only need comments. I have one going on about joining and using qurator right now. I just put it up yesterday. Only comment to have a chance to win :)

And yeah I also believe that the market next year will be much better compared to this years. Steem won't probably be back to $5-$8+ but I'm somewhat positive we'll go back to at least a dollar especially if the hyped SMT goes as planned.
