The Importance Of Mindset

What is a mindset? The "mindset" was the first time in my mind. It is undeniable that many of us talk about midset but do not know what the mindset itself is, this is a fatal mistake because it can cause errors in understanding it. In the book "The Secret of Mindset", Adi W Gunawan, quoting from the electronic dictionary, mentions mind-set consisting of two words: mind and set. The word "mind" means the source of mind and memory, the center of consciousness which produces thoughts, feelings, ideas, perceptions, and stores knowledge and memory ". The word "set" means "prioritizing an increase in ability in an activity, a state of being intact.

So in a nutshell mindset is a belief or way of thinking that affects a person's behavior and attitudes. Deep thinking so that it reaches a level called belief. This mindset is formed from what enters into us during life.

What is the influence of mindset on life ?, many people underestimate the importance of the influence of our mindset on even trivial things. Why is that mindset important? I give one example of challenging the rich and the poor, according to friends, how can one be said to be rich? And how can someone be classified as poor? Can be seen from the material? I have heard the story of a pedicab driver who earns around Rp. 25,000 per day. This father is a Muslim, every time he runs Friday prayers he makes the money in the amount of Rp. 10,000. On the other hand there is a wealthy merchant who earns Rp. 30,000,000. Every Friday he only donates Rp. 2,000, - the smallest amount of money in his hands. Logically, why did the merchant not contribute half of his income while the pedicab man gave up almost half of his income to charity? If you were in a position to see both of them without knowing whose income is higher and lower, surely you think that the becak driver is rich. This is the importance of the mindset that I want to explain to friends. Not everything that looks like what happened, doesn't have to be a successful smart one. When you put success in your mindset, you will succeed. But when you instill the idea that you are failing the people around you will conclude that you failed and you are the one who failed.

Then how do you change our mindset towards a positive one? The trick is to face challenges and problems, humans basically never get out of trouble. Even when you want to live a healthy life you have to deal with various problems, for example you have to exercise regularly, maintain your diet, and so on. Then survive in the face of tests and obstacles, suppose it is an ornament of our lives even without the test and the obstacle of life feels tasteless isn't it? No less important is effort and hard work and makes other people's criticism as a source of information to change themselves for the better.

Maybe this is the only thing I can share with friends, to be honest this is not absolute from myself. At first I also did not know how important the influence of mindset on the life we live. But one of my lecturers gave a briefing, which made me realize that for sempai the ultimate happiness must take the problem first.
