Competition is what has being encourage everywhere, it has a way of putting everyone on their toe because of the challenge that
if I relax, someone else will take over.
This has make almost everyone to want to do better today than they did the previous day. Of a true, it has brought up improvement in many areas and sectors of life e.g technology, finance, science, medicine, engineering, sport, agriculture to mention but a few.
To further stress it, English mini dictionary defines competition as an act of competing and also define compete as to contend emulously; to seek or strive for the same thing, position, or reward for which another is striving; to contend in rivalry, as for a prize or in business; as, tradesmen compete with one another.
This shows that every competitor has a goal in views.
More so, it is a truth that
Life is a race we keep running
But yet another truth that we can't cover up is that
everyone running the race of life has his or her own lane.
And taking a bit look at athletic, it is a kind of sport that involves running, every athletes prepare very well before the competition day but that doesn't make them forget the rule guiding the competition.

One of such rule is that, you are expected to maintain your lane during the race this is because though they are running the same metres race, the are not starting at the same point due to the shape of the field mostly use especially when running round the whole field.

With this rule, no matter how fast a athlete can run or might have run, if he or she run in another person's lane and finish first, the athlete is not rewarded.
No wonder bible said in 2 Timothy 2 verse 5 that an athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules.
As it works in the athletic sport, so also is how it work in the real life, we are all athlete here and we all have our own lane but many have being cumbered with the spirit of competition that they forget that unhealthy competition is injurious to them.
We all have our talent and their is a path the Almighty has laid for everyone, then
- why the envy?
- Why?
- Why the beefing?
- Why seeking the downfall of someone progressing thinking you will succeed once you achieve that?
The truth is that the sky is wide enough for every bird to fly without hindering each other.

Also, understanding that my shining doesn't affect yours neither do yours hinder mine, you will shine your shine and I will shine my shine if only we can understand that we all have our lane in this race and this will help us to make the world a better place to live by illuminating is with more brightness when our light come together.

The fact is that, their is purpose each of us is meant to fulfilled here on earth and path to fulfilled yours is clearly different from others, then why not face your lane and I face my path, offers helps to each other so that we can all reach our expected end.
I end with this competition is good but unhealthy competition is injurious and it breeds enmity which cause a man to loose focus on his own lane and disturb others in theirs forgetting that no athlete wins in another man's lane.
