Thoracic level injuries are less common because of the protection given by the rib cage.
Thoracic injuries can cause paralysis or weakness of the legs (paraplegia) along with loss of physical sensation, bowel, bladder, and sexual dysfunction.
In most cases, arms and hands are not affected. This area of the spinal cord controls signals to some of the muscles of the back and part of the abdomen.
With these types of injuries most patients initially wear a brace on the trunk to provide extra stability and help build up core muscles.

General Understanding your SCI .
term, Spinal cord injury (SCI) occurs when the bony protection surrounding the cord is damaged by way of fractures, dislocation, burst, compression, hyperextension or hyperflexion.
The most common cause of spinal cord dysfunction is trauma, including motor vehicle accidents, falls, shallow diving, acts of violence, and sports injuries. Damage can also occur from various diseases acquired at birth or later in life, from tumors, electric shock, and loss of oxygen related to surgical or underwater mishaps.
The spinal cord does not have to be severed in order for a loss of function to occur. It can be bruised, stretched, or crushed.
Since the spinal cord coordinates body movement and sensation, an injured spinal cord loses the ability to send and receive messages from the brain to the body’s system that controls sensory, motor, and autonomic function.
Some of the resultant types injury go by the terms cauda equina, conus medularis, central and anterior cord syndrome, or Brown-Sequard syndrome.

oye @ flysky me conmueve mucho esta publicación por que me veo reflejado en ella hace 12 años fui operado de una ulcera que se me perforo pero ¿como fue posible que una ulcera explotara? bueno yo tengo 3 hernias discales a nivel lumbar l3,l4,l5 esta hernias no me permitían llevar un estilo de vida cómodo ya que vivia adolorido todo el tiempo .
como yo trabajaba en una empresa de comida rapida y eso me ocasionaba mucho dolor por lo fuerte que era me tomaba diariamente en ayuna una pastilla llamada: DICLOFENAC esta pastilla de anargesico se me pego al estomago y me perforo una llaga que tenia en mi estomago y tube que ser intervenido quirurgicamente el medico dijo que no era conveniente operarme la columna por que podia quedar en silla de rueda toda mi vida. lo cual no tuve el valor para operarme .
luego con el tiempo hace aproximadamente 2 años cai en cama .
no podia levantarme y las medicinas que me pegaban no me hacian nada mi esposa @oscarinakr como enfermera profesional hablo con un medico y le conto mi condicion la cual el doctor: FRANCISCO LOPEZ le recomendo que me pegara un tratamiento medico a base de esteroide . ese dia le ore a dios y le dije que me ayudara a levantarme de esa cama por que yo tengo que sacar a mi familia adelante y con fe me pegue el tratamiento.
para mi emocion a los 2 dias me pare y hasta el dia de hoy estoy de pies trabajando duro para ayudar a mi familia a salir adelante y ahora esperando un nuevo mienbro de la amilia llamado :ROMAN SANTHIAGO estamos trabajando duro para comprar las medicinas para el parto de mi esposa, definitivamente si creo en los milagros por que dios iso un milagro en mi vida y ahorita estoy de pies amigo @flysky la fe mueve montañas y a la final¿ ha donde llegamos? por su puesto a la cima . asi que sigue confiando y orando a dios que pronto con fe ella lo lograra.

for my excitement after 2 days I stopped and to this day I am working hard to help my family to get ahead and now waiting for a new member of the family called: ROMAN SANTHIAGO we are working hard to buy the medicines for the my wife's birth, definitely if I believe in miracles because god is a miracle in my life and right now I am on my feet friend @flysky faith moves mountains and at the end, where have we arrived? of course to the top. So keep trusting and praying to God that soon with faith she will achieve it.

remain to be an engineer.in my life i dont get any help from other.once i had no money. i went one of the rich person of my villege. he did't give me money.
so i decided to be a great person..and i got my turning point to a great life..
now my hard working keep me an engineering student.

Well my brothers and I are the living evidence that God is real and that miracles exist.
In my first years of life I had a rare disease that doctors did not know, my stomach was growing very fast compared to my chronological age. My treating doctor gave my parents instructions in which a strict diet was included that was very complicated to comply with at that time because my parents could not afford it. My parents, in a moment of affliction, determined that they would not obey the doctor's instructions and began to give me all the things they did not allow me to eat and miraculously I was healed of that rare disease. Today I am a healthy person with a stoma stronger than ever

one day my 20 friends made a tour,,i didnt go this tour..
but in a truck accident all of my friends died..its so great miracle of my life,,
if i go there ,i must ,,.................................my heart feels down when i remain this .

My name is Memedatjeh, my account @lovelyworld, I want to share a Miracle of God that I never dream in this life, I was born from very poor, we have 5 siblings, Since I was 2 Years old, my father was gone, he returned to God. I did not know my father since childhood But the power of god has made a motive in my life, Since childhood I lived with a mother who she had lung disease but not a hindrance she raised us even though we only eat cassava every day We live in a shack the life of this is a gift that can not be paid with the wealth that is owned by everyone, From the time I was 5 years old I started to see the light of life with my mother and 4 little brother, since then I tried to find the sembupal great with candle ice after school home in elementary school, after school I hailed him with b worker to get a big lump for me to eat with my mom and 4 little brothers but this is not a hindrance to me to get a sense of identity in this life, the challenge of being an important note in my life, which is something I'm proud of in life is even though I do not have a man's parents since childhood God's power is always with me in school I always get first rank,

I want to share a miracle of god will come to who wants to keep looking and continue to create something meaningful for his life The journey of 5 years to candle ice seller is not a short time but this continues to be the trigger of the Struggle in My Life.When myself was in sixth grade in school basic.
There was a question I told my mother,
Oh mother, Soon I will pass the basic education, but what about my next fate?
Oh My dear Ananda, I want to convey to you do not for yourself continue education, to eat we have to eat boiled cassava, replied my beloved mother,
But what I was saying then, my mother I do not ask anything from you, I just expect a prayer for myself to keep fighting.
The struggle is not only there, since I have attended my first degree as a rickshaw driver in my place of residence, after school, a mother's prayer power continues to flow in my life and god has given me great strength in the journey and the coming of life , survived 3 years I always get the award in school to be the first champion, and journey towards High School which is also a big challenge to keep looking for identity to be great, since elementary school I get scholarship because of hard work that makes me able to compete.
After graduating from high school, elementary and middle school A continuing oblect to me, I got a scholarship from an Islamic center in New York, until I was able to continue my studies at two universities.
Conclusion.
The miracle of God is the secret light that everyone will get by continuing to give the best for ourselves, the family, and others who need us.
Definitely sir miracles are part of our life and everyday they happens in our life but it's looks us miracle when we see them like miracles, I am going to share my story it was my graduation second year from Delhi University the month was January 2014. I am fond of Morning walk so on early morning everyday something 4:00 am I left my hostel room and go to ground where in those cold days rarely someone from my girls hostel met me, on my regular days one day I was walking on grass with bare foot to enjoy the dews as it's lovely experience to enjoy the morning dews there was no light on the middle area of the ground and I was listening music on my iPod and suddenly something comes under my feet which is so big enough as it catches completely my whole foot and surrounding upto my knees and it was so scary moment as its happens so quickly but it's now clear to me that it's a monster who can end my life by single bite any time, out of sudden I don't know how fast I reacted on this as under half of second of this event I pushed my leg so quickly and pulled it so the grip of snake loosen and miracle happens to me I was free and quickly I stepped back myself and now I switched my phone light it was scary screamy horrible voice came from my soul Ohh my God! it's it's a big black king cobra snake under my feet and it didn't bite me even I pushed it, crushed it and harmed it very much but how this miracle happens to me only God knows, from that day I never met that King cobra again as almost 18 months I was there and only thing changed to me I changed my time it's 5:30 am now with my two or three friends and with proper mobile light.
From that day I have a deep respect about the snakes, and I never harmed any snake in my life by anyway and from that day I started love myself more deeply.
It's a miracle in my opinion as anything can be happened to me and that snake was almost 15 feet tall and thickness was more than my arm and if it bites me there is almost zero chance of my life as it was Sunday, and medical facilities are very poor on the weekends in my University.
I pray to Almighty for occurance of the miracle and it's a second life to me.
It's my story of miracle sorry if something is not properly described as I am still feeling scared during remembrance of this story only.
