Qurator's Mischievous Mondays | How many...?

MM.png

Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!

This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.

Why Mischievous?

We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

This week's theme : How many...?

How many of the same items can you cram into one photograph? It has to be very similar or close to the same. A stack of DVD's, golf balls, forks, cars, etc. Anything that is almost the same or very close to it. How many can you cram into one photo? The photo with the biggest crowd will win the crown! Good luck!

First of all, I wanted to thank @qurator for the prize received from the previous edition and also congratulate the other winners.

In order to participate in this edition I bring you a human castle very typical of the popular festivals in Catalonia (Spain) and specifically this human castle formed during the festivities of the town of Vilafranca del Penedés.

According to estimates of the urban guard, the number of people present in the square is approximately five thousand people. It is impossible to know for sure. At the same time, some additional people can be seen on the terraces of the houses.

The photograph taken at the restaurant Cal Figarot last August, where a giant photograph of the event is exhibited.

that is outrageous

HAHAHAHA

How cool, the human castle! And your idea 💡 ;)

I share with you a post from the month of August. I tell you a bit more about the human castles and the place where they are famous.

Oh my god 😱 This is amazing I was not expecting to see something like this 😁😁

🤣🤣🤣🤣

What nerves to be at the top of that tower, amazing photo, what a way to spend your free time.

They train many days.

At the same time it is a child under 10 years old who climbs to the top.

Ah ok, that makes sense.

Thank you very much, happy day.

It was last week I managed to walk a bit on the beach... I saw so many sand grains there - with additional pebbles as decoration 😂

Very clever.

What do you do with old shoes?

image.png

In Korea we find a lot of useful ways to use old shoes. One way to use old shoes is to shred the souls of the shoes into bits and use that bits for running tracks and bicycle trails. Another way to use old shoes is to stack them up into an art sculpture. There are many mediums to build a sculpture. You can use clay or metal or even recycled milk cartons, but you can also use old shoes. These shoes stacked up together make up one giant shoe. Inside this shoe lives old woman who had so many kids she didn't know what to do. We went to visit the old woman in the shoe and take a picture with her but that's another story.

How many shoes do you have lying around the house?

What are you going to do with those old shoes?

How amazing what people can do with things that are useless.

Good story

As the wife owns an online bookshop, there is only one mass of things I could post a picture of!
My house is full of books. I sleep on books, there are books everywhere, so here is just small selection of the many thousands she has in stock.

I could have also done a crowd shot of Ikea Billy bookshelves too. At last count, we had 17 in all.

Thanks for a great competition that provides a bit of fun on a dreary Monday morning.

Best wishes :-)

How is the online bookstore going? I hope it is not too much of a headache.

To be honest, its very poor recently. We've been running for 8 years, importing from the UK but since Covid, have seen very little sales. There are now far too many people here selling very cheap Chinese copies so we can't compete on price. I do think that all traditional booksellers are experiencing problems but in Thailand, locally written novels are still very popular as is gay romance which has a huge following amongst both the straight and gay reading communities. At least with online channels, it doesn't take much work.

That's what I thought. Thanks for sharing the picture and your story. There are a lot of writers and a lot of information on line. It seems to sell books today takes some sort of following.

!LUV

You hit the nail on the head. The 'fan' scene for local Thai novelists is incredible. They do online giveaways, advance free pages of their new works and there a huge collectible market. Real cult following !

Thanks again for dropping by :-)

Thank you, I really love all the entries and was surprised to see I made it to the top three, even more, that I made it to the number one spot. Thank you to everyone.
!LUV

Thank you! I'll try to take part this week too, but it'll be hard to find something there's more of than all those shoes from @mineopoly !

@qurator how "out there" or strange can we go with this one?

Sweets the weakness of many people, especially this time of festivity.

Cheers!

"Tis the season to be jolly."

here is my entry. i could not count the shells but there are a lot

That's a lot of shells. I guess you couldn't step on that beach barefoot.

oh they were countless but also small and not so sharp and they were left in a long line at the high water mark after a storm so they did not cover the whole beach

Surprising entries this week, with great stories and photos.

I hadn't really thought of anything, until I read @mipiano's entry 😂 thanks for the inspiration.

In my photo I don't know how many drops of water there are, but there are millions many more than we can think, because it's an image of some ocean on planet Earth. 🤣😁

ocean-g324059f3c_640.jpg

hahaha 😂

😁😝🤪😘

I think water is uncountable, but in there are endless drops and you caught them from a unique point of view !LUV

Given the fact that there is a post with all the drops in the ocean, it left me little to no room for my original picture. So I had to be creative. And this is what I came up with. Look at all the Atoms, electrons, and sub-particles that are in the universe. That is 10 to the power of 50 tons of matter that I managed to capture seeing I photo the entire universe. And that's not counting all the dark matter.

At the very least all the atoms and molecules int he atmosphere alone should way surpass the drops int he ocean.

LEt me know if I should submit my original idea instead. =)
